主要从事研究领域为城市热红外遥感，研究地表景观与热环境，土地利用模式与人类活动热排放的热环境影响。已发表论文及著作近40篇。曾担任国际International Journal of Geographical Information Science、International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation、International Journal of Remote Sensing、Remote Sensing、Environmental Earth Sciences、Journal of Applied Remote Sensing、Landscape and Urban Planning和Remote Sensing Letters等期刊以及国内《遥感学报》、《地理研究》、《遥感信息》、《资源科学》、《遥感技术与应用》和《地理科学》等期刊的审稿人。
