研究内容及意义
1. 全球气候变暖,极端天气频发,入侵型、新发和重发昆虫传作物病毒病害已经成为限制我国农作物优质高产的主要因素。因缺乏抗病抗虫的种质资源、育种周期长,虫传病害防治难度极大,目前处于几乎完全依赖化学防控媒介昆虫的被动应付局面,生态与环境成本极大。以往研究虫传病毒病害往往注重病毒和植物寄主两个方面,这些研究为理解作物病毒病害的爆发机制提供了基础知识,但对于病害防控的关键节点—媒介昆虫介导的病毒侵染循环这一根本性问题上尚较缺乏,导致目前在病毒病害防治实践上缺乏有效抓手。近年来,随着分子生物学和组学研究的飞速发展,本课题组致力于将微观生物学技术和理念,整合宏观生物学的现象和规律,寻找病毒病害流行爆发的宏观生态学现象背后的分子生物学与生物化学机制,努力建立复杂生态系统多元互作分子机制提供数学模型,并利用自然规律设计人工干扰和操纵生物间互作关键节点,变被动应付为主动调控病害灾变过程。具体研究成果参见近期代表工作1和近期代表工作2。
2. 植物脂肪酸和油脂代谢相关遗传因子在植物免疫识别和信号传导过程中发挥了重要作用,我们的研究将着重于植物免疫相关代谢物的发掘和功能鉴定,并应用于作物的分子品种设计,培育优质、高产新品种。(参见近期代表工作3)

近期代表工作1:双生病毒抑制植物MYC2 介导的茉莉酸(JA)抗虫代谢途径,同介体昆虫烟粉虱形成互惠共生关系。A.植物MYC2转录因子转录激活抗虫次级代谢物合成; B. 双生病毒抑制植物MYC2介导的抗虫反应; C. 双生病毒同烟粉虱形成依赖于寄主植物的互惠共生关系 (Li et al. Plant Cell 2014)。
近期代表工作2:双生病毒“劫持”细胞质RNA降解途径抑制植物基因沉默并促进病毒复制。(Ye et al. PLoS Pathogens 2015)。
近期代表工作3:高品质新品种 (A)和高产油量新品种(B)的多年生生物能源树木小桐子(Jatropha curcas)。
近80%的植物病毒病害由昆虫媒介传播,1100种已知植物病毒中30%由烟粉虱传播。我们主要研究在自然条件下病毒病害发生的多元生物互作体系的贡献及其互作机制,探求病毒病害防治的重要节点,结合利用大数据平台技术,设计农业生产条件下有效的病毒防治策略。
