2000年7月,于吉林大学获高分子化学与物理专业博士学位。
2000年7月―2002年6月,清华大学高分子研究所,博士后。
2002年7月―2005年6月,中科院化学所,副研究员。
2005年7月―2006年6月,美国乔治亚理工学院,博士后。
2006年7月―2008年7月,比利时鲁汶大学,博士后。
2008年7月至今,北京科技大学材料科学与工程学院,教授。

目前主持的科研项目包括国家自然科学基金项目、北京市自然科学基金项目、教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划资助项目、中央高校基本科研业务费专项资金资助项目及校企合作项目。讲授本科生课程《材料化学前沿进展》、研究生课程《材料表面化学》。
