现任全国环境管理标准化技术委员会副主任委员、《International Journal of Sustainable Development and World Ecology》主编。
1987年以来，主要从事社会-经济-自然复合系统可持续发展的理论与方法研究及实践工作。在国内外学术刊物上发表论文60余篇。
