 张万昌,男,1966年01月出生于新疆石河子,理学博士,研究员,博士生导师。1987年本科毕业于成都理工大学水文系工程地质专业;1990年于中国科学院兰州寒区旱区环境工程研究所获地理学专业极地冰川学方向硕士学位;毕业后在该所任助理研究员从事极地雪冰物理、化学和冰岩芯科学的研究。1992年应日本国科学技术厅邀请赴日本科学技术厅长岗雪冰防灾实验研究所作访问学者(STAFellow),随后作为日本文部省国费外国人奖学生(MonbushyoScholarship)入选UNESCO在日本名古屋大学设置的研究生特别课程。1996年于日本名古屋大学理学部大气水圈科学研究所再次获特别课程理学硕士学位;1997年获日本科学振兴会(JSPS)特别研究员称号并得到科学振兴会全额资助(JSPSFellowship)在日本名古屋大学理学部地球系统科学系地球系统科学专业攻读遥感与GIS方向博士学位。2000年获名古屋大学理学博士学位。同年11月被南京大学作为海外引进优秀人才特聘为教授,任南京大学国际地球系统科学研究所常务副所长,从事遥感与GIS、水文学与水资源及全球变化研究。2001年3月取得博导资格。至2012年5月止,一直在南京大学从事科研和教学工作。其中2005年至2009年入选中国科学院“百人计划”择优支持研究员、博导,在中国科学院大气物理研究所东亚中心全球变化重点实验室从事研究工作。先后主持过国家基础规划项目(973)课题、国家自然科学基金项目、国家教育部科学技术重点项目、中科院知识创新项目、国家重大科技专项项目、海外杰出青年基金(B类)项目及与欧盟、日本、美国、乌拉圭等国际研究机构的国际合作项目30余项。2012年6月正式调入中国科学院对地观测与数字地球中心工作,任全球灾害研究室主任、研究员。历任中国科学院国际合作项目评审专家、中国海洋学会、中国海洋湖沼学会海洋遥感专业委员会委员、东南大学兼职教授、日本东京亚洲环境技术推进机构高级顾问。国际学术组织IEEE会员。“InternationalJournalofRemoteSensing”、“Sensors”、“HydrologicalProcesses”、“JournalofHydrology”、“JournalofUrbanPlanningandDevelopment”等多家学术刊物特邀审稿人。2005年被ASCE聘任为JournalofUrbanPlanningandDevelopment编辑委员会委员。在国内外相关学术期刊上发表论文及论著共计230余篇,其中80余篇学术论文被SCI、EI收录,两篇在国际和国内学术会议上获奖。作为第一发明人申请国家发明专利4项,拥有软件著作权4项。从2001年起至今已培养20余名博士、30余硕士,其中2004届博士生雍斌、2005届硕士生朱求安分别获江苏省优秀博士毕业论文和优秀硕士毕业论文奖。

研究生培养:
已经培养博士研究生23人,硕士研究生30余人, 目前在读博士和硕士研究生8人。

授课情况:
2001年-2012年期间,曾在南京大学地球科学与工程学院、南京大学金陵学院教授本科生《资源遥感》、《遥感物理》及《地图学与GIS》课程,同时为南京大学地海学院、国际地球系统科学研究所硕士、博士生讲授《遥感与GIS应用前沿系列讲座》。从2009年起,每年为中国农科院硕士、博士研究生做《生态遥感》讲座。

研究方向:

1.遥感与GIS全球变化研究: 大气圈、水圈、生物圈全球变化遥感与GIS应用研究;
2.环境与灾害遥感研究:针对大气圈、水圈、生物圈的环境与灾害的遥感分析、模型构建研究;
3.地图学与地理信息系统研究:利用GIS区域建模、空间分析的技术,结合遥感定量反演手段开展水文、水资源及水环境在全球变化背景下的时空变化及灾害研究。
