AbstractCucullitingis biacantha gen. & sp. nov., a new genus and species of the family Tingidae is described and established based on two fossil specimens from the mid-Cretaceous Burma amber. According to the statistical result of fossil tingids, the evolution of hood, carinae and paranota was discussed.
