文章对位于渤海东缘的长兴岛地区发现的、以互层形式存在的黄土与砂土沉积剖面各层样品进行粒度分析与石英颗粒扫描电子显微镜观察,阐明了研究区沉积物的沉积特征,并探讨了物质来源与沉积环境。研究结果表明,长兴岛砂质沉积剖面上层黄土沉积(CXD5、CXD7)以粉砂为主,粒度分布频率曲线呈双峰分布且石英颗粒表面形态兼具风成与水成特征,推断其物质来源以近源为主,远源为辅;下层砂质沉积(CXD1、CXD2)粒度以中细砂为主,且石英颗粒表面水成特征明显,推测为近源物质搬运沉积;中间层(CXD3、CXD4和CXD6)粉砂含量显著增加,中细砂含量减少,且石英颗粒的硅质再沉淀作用显著,呈现过渡特征。研究结果表明,长兴岛砂质沉积物剖面存在砂层与黄土层相间分布的特征,且沉积环境以近源为主、远源为辅,为典型的陆架沙漠化沉积环境特征。

Grain size of sediments and surface structure of quartz particles are the good carriers reflecting sedimentary characteristics and recording environmental changes. Through field investigation, sandy sediment profile (BZ:39°36'N, 121°26'E; 16 m a.s.l.) with thickness of about 3 m was found in Changxing Island area, the eastern margin of Bohai Sea. Seven samples were collected at intervals of 30 cm and numbered CXD1~CXD7 from bottom to top, to carry out analysis such as grain size and quartz particle scanning electron microscopy (SEM), for defining the sedimentary characteristics of sediments in the study area and discussing the sources of materials and sedimentary environment. The results show that the upper sediments (CXD5 and CXD7) of Changxing Island sandy sediment profile have typical loess characteristics. The frequency curve of particle size distribution shows a bimodal distribution, and the surface morphology of quartz particles shares the aeolian characteristics and the underwater characteristics. Thus, the source of material is mainly near source, supplemented by far source. The lower sediments (CXD1 and CXD2) are mainly fine and medium sand, which are similar to sandy sediments and have obvious underwater characteristics on the surface of quartz particles, indicating that they are near-source material transport deposits. The siliceous re-precipitation of quartz particles in the middle layer (CXD3, CXD4 and CXD6) is significant, showing transitional characteristics. Therefore, the sandy sediment profile in Changxing Island area has the characteristics of interfacial distribution of sand and loess, and the overall sedimentary environment of the profile is mainly near-source, and the upper sediment mixed with remotely transported materials, which is a typical shelf desertification sedimentary environment.
