LFS的建成,实现了我国自主海洋环境预报系统研发的突破,可为我国海洋经济生产和国防军事活动提供重要的安全保障。2020年9月起,LFS在国家海洋环境预报中心开展了连续业务化试运行,提供常规业务预报产品,已经为国家气象局观测试验1、斯里兰卡油轮起火事故救援2等提供了海洋环境保障支撑。
日前,针对系统的详细介绍和评估文章在《业务化海洋学杂志》(Journal of Operational Oceanography)在线发表(https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/1755876X.2021.1902680)。本研究受到国家重点研发计划(2016YFC1401401, 2016YFC1401601)、科学院先导专项(XDB42010404, XDC01000000)和国家自然科学基金项目(41976026, 41931183, 41931182,41776030, 41576026, and 41606029)的联合资助,以及地球系统数值模拟装置的技术支撑。
