研究领域 厌氧微生物生理代谢：瘤胃纤维素厌氧细菌、甲烷古菌的资源和生理代谢，以及口腔链球菌种间互作研究。
重点研究内容包括（1）牦牛瘤胃纤维素降解细菌的生物学和纤维素降解的酶学，及其瘤胃元基因组学（2）低温甲烷古菌资源及其在高原湿地甲烷释放中的功能，和嗜冷机理；（3）口腔链球菌抗氧胁迫机理，及其与变型链球菌间的相互作用。
