研究领域天然产物是抗肿瘤药物的主要来源，60%以上的临床使用药物与天然产物相关，比如紫杉醇和长春花碱类药物等。课题组依托植物化学及西部植物资源持续利用国家重点实验室的天然产物研究优势，首先利用各种现代生物学技术构建较为系统的分子靶点信号通路以及细胞水平的抗肿瘤药物筛选平台，对天然小分子化合物进行抗肿瘤活性筛选，并应用生物化学，化学生物学以及药理学的手段，围绕肿瘤增殖和凋亡密切相关的分子信号通路进行深入的药物作用机理研究以及新的药物作用靶点探索，为研发抗肿瘤天然创新药物奠定基础。
