孙赞东，男，汉族，1961年生，湖北黄冈人。国家创新人才引进专家（“****”），中国石油大学特聘教授，博士生导师，中国石油东方地球物理公司高级技术顾问，原ExxonMobil高级研究专家，现任中国石油大学（北京）地质地球物理综合研究中心主任。1984年毕业于原江汉石油学院，1987-1989华东石油学院北京研究生部研究生，1999年获加拿大卡尔加里大学地球物理学博士。
孙赞东教授是国际知名的油藏地球物理学家，长期致力于油藏地球物理学研究，内容涉及岩石物理、保幅处理、反演算法、储层介质弹性特征、油藏建模、油藏描述、压力预测、流体预测、时移地震方法等诸多方面。近年来一直致力于研究发展最先进的综合地球物理技术，正带领团队深入研究非常规油气勘探开发技术，努力为能源可持续性发展做贡献。近年先后负责参与国家与省部级重大项目近20项，成功举办四届地质地球物理综合研究中心年会，发表SCI/EI论文近40篇，国际高水平会议文章50余篇，申请国家专利4项，出版专著两部。
孙赞东教授迄今为止已有近30年从事国内外知名大石油公司（1984～1987年，原中国石油工业部石油勘探开发科学研究院；1993～1994年，Schlumberger；1994～2007，年ExxonMobil(1994～2002年，ESSOCanada；2002～2007年，ExxonMobilURC））在全球范围内的石油勘探、开发与生产以及技术研发工作经验。1996年作为主要科学家负责长达6年的加拿大西部油砂开采的开发地震研究，给加拿大冷湖油田储层预测改善和提高采收率做出了巨大贡献，整体油砂采收率提高了25%（由原来采收率的25%提升至50%），并成为业界的领导者。先后负责西非深水浊积岩储层开发地震的采集、处理、解释一体化研究（为ExxonMobil盈利最高的项目），中东碳酸盐岩储层综合预测研究（为ExxonMobil在中东赢得很多机会），加拿大B.C.省东北部的天然气勘探中参与高产井的部署等。2000年被ESSO加拿大公司总裁授予有突出贡献科学家。2005～2006年度被录入美国企业管理家与职业人员名人录(注册于美国国会图书馆)。
孙赞东教授为SEG(美国勘探地球物理家学会)、CSEG(加拿大勘探地球物理家学会)、AAPG(美国地质家学会)的积极会员，APEGGA(加拿大阿尔伯塔省职业地质、地球物理家及工程师协会)会员，曾任SEG、CSEG年会分会主席及CSEG杂志审编。现为中国石油学会地球物理专业委员会会员，SEG全球事务理事会、中国指导委员会、开发与生产委员会、研究委员会委员，勘探前沿（TheLeadingEdge）杂志客座编辑。2011担任SEGD&P（开发与生产）高峰论坛主席，同时也主办2011年SEG年会的两个研讨会，被评选为2012年SEG东亚和南亚荣誉讲师。
