教学工作曾先后主讲普通遗传学实验,普通遗传学,植物细胞遗传学,五大作物育种实践教学,植物遗传实验技术,分子遗传与遗传工程基础,作物遗传育种Seminar等7门本科生和研究生课程。参加硕士和博士研究生作物遗传育种研究进展和作物科学研究进展的专题讲座。
研究方向长期从事稻种资源和基因组学、稻作抗旱遗传机理及其分子育种工作。在水稻遗传资源核心种质研究方面率先提出核心种质构建系统的理论及技术体系,首次提出中国普通野生稻和栽培稻的遗传结构,提出中国稻种资源遗传多样性分布规律,并对栽野演化及其栽培稻的分类提出新的见解;利用旱稻DH、RIL和导入系群体定位了根系、生理等抗旱相关性状的QTL或基因,利用基因芯片和cDNA-AFLP等技术研究了旱稻基因表达规律,提出了旱稻抗旱的分子机制。目前,主要研究方向是利用稻种资源定向培育的近等基因系发掘和克隆水稻重要功能基因;利用抗旱种质资源克隆并验证抗旱相关基因。
课题项目目前,主要承担“973”基础研究、“863”高新技术研究、“948”引进项目、国家支撑计划、国家转基因专项、国家自然科学基金和教育部博士点基金等项目
