Abstract:	The inviscid damping and enhanced dissipation play an important role in determining the transition threshold for shear flows. They are due to the vorticity mixing induced by shear flows. In this talk, I will introduce a systematic approach to prove the inviscid damping and enhanced dissipation for the linearized 2-D Navier-Stokes equations around shear flows.
