火灾科学国家重点实验室研究生部副主任、建筑火灾研究室主任；国家自然科学基金委员会工程与材料科学部第14届专家评审组成员；国家救灾应急装备工程技术研究中心技术委员会委员；中国城市地下综合管廊产业联盟专家委员会委员；全国高等学校消防工程专业教学指导委员会委员；火灾与爆炸安全防护重庆市重点实验室学术委员会副主任；中国高等教育学会工程热物理专业委员会理事，全国消防标准化技术委员会建筑消防安全工程分技术委员会委员、中国铁道学会牵引动力委员会委员、公共安全科学技术学会学科建设专业工作委员会委员；《工程热物理学报》、《热科学与技术》、《火灾科学》、《防灾减灾工程学报》等期刊编委。科技部“973计划先进个人”和教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”获得者。2012年获第十四届“安徽青年科技奖”。1998年和2002年先后2次分别赴东京大学和日本国立消防研究所进行合作研究。
